Perfect That Swing: Hours And Thousands Of Balls

The game of golf can actually be a lot of fun, assuming the player has the fundamentals mastered. The thing that makes it tricky is all of these instructors telling players about several little details. Players hear about creating lag, hitting down on the ball, ball position, release and swing plane. However, all of these are actually events that occur naturally. Instructors are trying to inform their students that these are naturally occurring events; however, students tense up and begin over thinking the whole thing.

Every golf club in the back essentially acts as a pendulum. When the player attempts to swing the club straight back, they will find it automatically routes its way inside. Most players hear their instructor telling them to bring the club inside, but they do not realize this is a natural occurrence. Now, they have brought the club behind them, the position that drivers every golf instructor insane. They will also not have nearly as much power when they force the club inside, as their body has to clear for them to swing. If a player just focuses on bring the club back as straight as they can, while allowing everything to naturally occur they will improve.

This process is going to take hours and thousands of balls, but in the end players are going to wonder why they ever made it so difficult. The club should simply swing back and through like a pendulum, as centrifugal force will generate a substantial amount of their club head speed. If they want to hit the ball further, they should simply swing the club through a little faster, but they never want to think about hitting the ball harder. Once players think about hitting the ball, they will find that missed shots become a lot more frequent.
